The Model S boot lid has always been the part of the car that asks for the lightest touch. Anything too tall turns the silhouette into something it isn't; anything too subtle gets lost. Adro's Carbon Fiber Spoiler lands exactly where it should — a low-profile ducktail that lifts the rear deck just enough to finish the car's profile and give the back end a sense of resolution the factory lid leaves slightly open.

It's made from pre-preg carbon fiber, autoclave-cured, with a tight 2x2 twill weave that holds its alignment from edge to edge. Pre-preg construction means the resin and cloth are bonded under heat and pressure rather than brushed on by hand, so the finished part is lighter, stiffer and more dimensionally consistent — and the gloss finish has the kind of depth that picks up reflections cleanly instead of looking flat.

The spoiler's lip angle and trailing-edge profile were developed using 3D scan data of the Model S boot and refined through CFD simulation. The shape adds a measurable amount of rear downforce at speed and trims air separation off the back of the car, which translates to a more planted feel in fast lane changes and motorway driving. Visually, it does the job a good ducktail should: noticeable from a three-quarter angle, almost invisible head-on.
